According to WHO (World Health Organisation), Coronaviruses are a family of viruses responsible for the common cold and more serious viruses. This current virus, 2019 nCoV, is a previously unidentified new strain in humans.
Common signs of infection include-
*respiratory symptoms like sore throat
*fever
*cough, sneezing
*shortness of breath and other breathing difficulties
In more severe cases infection can result in pneumonia, severe respiratory syndrome, kidney failure and death.
It is spread through droplets from the nose, mouth and close contact.

The latest from the Australian Government Department of Health-
As of 11/2/2020 there were 15 confirmed cases of Coronavirus in Australia - 5 in Queensland, 4 in NSW, 4 in Victoria and 2 in SA. All cases except one had confirmed contact through Wuhan, China. Of the 15 reported cases, 5 people have recovered completely and the others are stable.

*If you have any symptoms and have recently visited or been in contact with anyone from Wuhan you should go to your GP or hospital for an examination.
*Although surgical masks do not protect from the virus they will provide some containment if you are coughing or sneezing.
*Maintain good health practices- wash hands; cover mouth when coughing or sneezing; avoid close contact with those coughing or sneezing.
*If you have mild symptoms but have not been in contact with anyone returning from China it is advisable to get a symptomatic treatment from your doctor, chinese medicine practitioner and/or acupuncturist.
